The Laser Spine Center
Quality service and chronic pain treatment at Laser Spine Center.
The Laser Spine Center is located in New York City, New York. It was founded by Dr. Daniel S. J. Choy, who had developed the PLDD, (Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression) procedure more than 20 years ago. This procedure helps those with back or neck pain resulting from a herniated disc, when other treatments have failed to work. The PLDD procedure is approved by the FDA and is recognized by the AMA. This is a non-surgical procedure that offers quick relief on an outpatient basis. A laser beam decompresses a tiny portion of the disc. The patient can usually just get off the table and walk away without pain.
Anyone who has had back surgery knows there is a long recovery time. Also, sometimes surgery doesn't even help. This is why The Laser Spine Center has the PLDD procedure. There is no general anesthesia, no hospital stays, no cutting, and a short recovery time. The procedure costs 75% to 80% less than regular surgery. Dr. Choy has trained over 300 specialists around the world in this procedure. He is the head of The Laser Spine Center and he has performed over 7,200 of these procedures. Patients feel safe under his control.
Fibromyalgia may be a secondary reaction to the pain of a disc injury. The disc pain can cause the continual muscle spasms that may seem like fibromyalgia.
The Laser Spine Institute located in Tampa, Florida, also does laser procedures on the back. Unlike The Laser Spine Center, the Institute also performs minimal invasive surgeries, and the patient may need to stay there for up to a week after. They perform endoscopic procedures as well as back surgeries.
The Laser Spine Center does not want to perform surgery. They want to use the PLDD to have pain disappear instantly, and for the patient to have immediate relief.
